Health Insurance Exchanges

Connecticut has established the Connecticut Health Insurance Exchange.1 Duties of the Exchange include providing enrollee information to employers and ensuring the financial integrity of the Exchange.2 Connecticut requires health carriers that offer plans through the Exchange to disclose certain information (e.g. payment policies, rating practices data) to the public and government officials.3 Individuals may use the Freedom of Information Act, with limited exceptions, to access information from the Connecticut Health Insurance Exchange.4
