Wis. Stat. Ann. § 255.06 - Well-woman program

This law requires that DHS administer a well-woman program to provide reimbursement for certain types of health related expenses to low-income, under or uninsured women. The law further states that the program must provide the following services: breast cancer screening services, media announcements and educational materials, specialized training for rural exams and activities, health care follow-up, patient education, women’s health campaign, osteoporosis prevention and education, multiple sclerosis education and services.
The law requires that DHS coordinate the services under this program with those provided by the minority health program to ensure that minority women’s health issues are addressed.
