This law sets forth the practice requirements for persons practicing physical therapy. The law gives details about the requirements for referrals, fee splitting, and billing. Further the law states that a physical therapist is responsible for managing all aspects of each patient’s care and that an assistant may assist the physical therapist as long as the assistant is supervised by the therapist. A physical therapist is required to create and maintain patient records for every patient.
