This law requires that every physician who diagnoses lead poisoning or exposure or any nurse/hospital administrator/director of a lab who has verified information about such poisoning or exposure must report the information to DHS or local health officer within 48 hours. The local health officer must report to DHS the name, address, lab results, date of birth and any other relevant information. Any person who makes such a report in good faith is immune from civil or criminal liability.
