This law requires that each private college and university do the following:
- Provide information on risks of meningococcal disease and hepatitis B, and on the availability of vaccines to each student
- Require a student who lives in a dormitory to confirm that s/he received this information
- Require a student who lives in a dormitory to disclose whether or not they have been vaccinated against either disease and to provide dates of vaccination
- Maintain a confidential record of the students’ affirmations and the dates of vaccinations
