Elements of a children's mental health system
The department of social and health services and the evidence-based practice institute must, in consultation with interested stakeholders, develop outcome based performance measures to assess the effectiveness of the children’s mental health system. Possible measures include decreased emergency room utilization, decreased rates of chemical dependency,” and improved school attendance and performance.
It is the Washington legislature’s goal for the children’s mental health system that, by 2012, there will be equity in access to services for similarly situated children.
