Internal quality review and accountability program for residential care services — Quality assurance panel — Report
The department of social and health services must develop and phase-in “a statewide internal quality review and accountability program for residential care services.” The program must address staff accountability, facility licensing and certification, and outcome investigations.
The department must establish a “quality assurance panel” to be chaired by the long-term care ombudsman. The panel will review the quality of care provided in adult family homes, “consider inspection, investigation, public complaint, and enforcement issues that related to adult family homes,” and oversee issues regarding de minimis violations and citations.
