Confidentiality of Adverse Health Event Notifications
When notification of an adverse event is made by a coordinated quality improvement program, a peer review committee, or a health care worker, information and documents created specifically for the purpose of preparing the notification are subject to confidentiality protections. However, the notification of the adverse event itself is subject to public disclosure, including any contextual information the medical facility chose to provide.
