Reports of abuse or neglect
All practitioners, social workers, psychologists, pharmacists, state hospital employees, and department of health employees must report the suspected abuse or neglect of a state hospital patient to law enforcement or the department of social and health services. Other individuals that suspect abuse or neglect may report their suspicion to law enforcement or the department of social and health services.
The department of social and health services or law enforcement agency must report incidents involving non-accidental physical injuries or deaths and incidences of sexual abuse to the relevant county prosecutor.
