Civil remedies
A person who has complied with the relevant requirements governing health care information access and disclosure may bring an action for relief against a health care provider or facility who has not complied with relevant requirements within two years after the cause of action is discovered. The court may order the provider or other person to comply with requirements, and may award actual damages. The court must award reasonable attorneys' fees and all other expenses reasonably incurred to the prevailing party.
