“Authority and obligations of health care providers, health care facilities, and residential care facilities regarding do-not-resuscitate orders and clinician orders for life sustaining treatment under the health law”
A do-not resuscitate order (“DNR”) and a clinician order for life sustaining treatment (“COLST”) must be signed by the patient’s clinician and include the name of the patient giving informed consent. The DNR/COLST must be in the patient’s medical record.
