All hospitals are required to report discharge data as specified by the Department of Health. The minimum information required to be reported includes the following:
- Patient identifying information;
- Patient’s clinical information, including diagnosis, provider, and treatments;
- Patient’s insurance information;
- Patient’s demographic data, including race, ethnicity and sex.
