Telemedicine - reimbursement - disclosure statement
Declares in person contact between a provider and Medicaid recipient as no longer necessary in order for the provider to receive reimbursement for telemedicine services. Clarifies that this requirement only applies to managed care organizations to the extent that they offer covered services available through telemedicine and their contracts are amended to account for telemedicine services. Specifies the information that providers must disclose to Medicaid patients when beginning a telehealth encounter. This information includes statements that they will have the same confidentiality protections and access to their medical information as if they were receiving in-person services.
