A patient may revoke their do-not-resuscitate order (“DNR”) by asking an emergency medical professional to remove their DNR bracelet, destroying their DNR bracelet, or removing their DNR bracelet. The patient’s attending physician must be alerted immediately of the patient’s decision to revoke their DNR and must document the circumstances of the revocation in the patient’s medical record.
