“Mental health client bill of rights under the occupations and professions law”
The board must develop a model statement of the patient’s mental health rights based on the code of ethics of each licensed professional association. A copy of the patient’s mental health rights must be posted in a prominent location in the office of the mental health practitioner. Reasonable accommodations must be made for clients who cannot read, have communication impairments, or limited English proficient.
