“Presumed consent to cardiopulmonary resuscitation; health care providers and residential care providers not required to expand to provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation under the public health law”
Every person is presumed to consent to the administration of cardiopulmonary resuscitation in the event of cardiac or respiratory arrest unless the patient has a do not resuscitate order, an advance directive, or the patient’s agent indicates that he or she does not wish to receive a cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
