Requirements for Telehealth Services Under Medicaid - Mo. Code Regs. Ann. tit. 13, § 70-3.190

Telehealth services may be reimburseable by Medicaid if they are medically necessary services and performed by a provider who is registered as a Medicaid provider with the state.  All patient encounters via telehealth must be recorded in the patient’s medical record.  All telehealth medical records are subject to the privacy and confidentiality requirements of HIPAA.  Informed consent rules also apply to telehealth services.  Informed consent is required from patients in order to provide treatment via telehealth services.
