School directors must, within five days of admitting a mentally retarded person pursuant to the mental hygiene laws, provide the mental hygiene legal service with the person’s records
The commissioner may establish regulations requiring school directors to send the department information regarding the mentally retarded person whenever they send such information to the mental hygiene legal service. However, the department may only access such information as provided by section § 33.13.
