“Records”
The department of rehabilitation and correction shall keep records showing the name, residence, sex, age, nativity, occupation, condition and date of entrance or commitment of every inmate accessible only to it’s employees.
In case of accident or injury or peculiar death of an inmate, a special report must be made to the department within twenty four hours.
Every institution governed by the department of rehabilitation must compile, maintain and keep separate a medical record for every inmate in the institution. Upon the request of both the inmate and his designated attorney or physician, the department will make his medical record available the attorney or physician for inspection or copying. The department may charge a reasonable fee for the copying of medical records. If an inmate is under potential serious medical harm, the physician shall indicate on the medical records.
