Privacy and confidentiality
Grants nursing facility residents rights to privacy and confidentiality. Specifies how facilities must act in order to respect these rights. These actions include obtaining a resident’s approval to release their personal and medical records. Provides exceptions for release of records in accordance with law or upon the resident’s transfer to another facility.
