The state of Indiana has an Office of Minority Health within the Department of Health to do the following:
- Coordinate and implement the comprehensive health plan developed by the interagency state council on black and minority health;
- Develop community based initiatives to address health disparities of minorities;
- Monitor progress in minority health;
- Fund minority health programs;
- Provide technical assistance to local minority health initiatives, including providing measurable health objectives;
- Providing minority health research and data;
Coordinate with existing local minority health coalitions.
