The attorney general, district attorney, or a private individual may bring a civil action against anyone violating the Genetic Information Privacy Act. A court may order the violating individual to comply with the Genetic Information Privacy Act, to pay actual damages, to pay damages up to $5,000 in addition to all economic losses, and to pay reasonable attorney’s fees.
