Upon admission to a skilled nursing facility and/or intermediate care facility (SNF/ICF), patients must receive a comprehensive assessment of their medical, social, and environmental needs. Medically eligible patients may subsequently receive government funded long-term home health care services as defined in § 42-66.4-2. These services include adult day care, case management, home health care, and homemaker services. A department of elderly affairs’ case manager will evaluate the needs of persons receiving government funded long-term home health care services every 180 days to determine their continued eligibility for such services.
