The Long Term Care Ombudsman will have access to any long term care facility resident’s records, and to necessary records of any public agency, including patient abuse complaint records. The Long Term Care Ombudsman’s designees may also access an individual resident’s records to investigate a complaint, if authorized by the resident or the resident’s legal representative.
