Or. Admin. R. 333-200-0090 - Trauma Hospitals
This will open in a new window
The Public Health Division of the Oregon Health Authority will accredit trauma system hospitals after evaluating and approving a hospital’s application for accreditation. The Division’s evaluation of an application will include a survey of the hospital’s medical records and other documents relevant to trauma care to determine compliance with prescribed standards. Each hospital must electronically submit to the Oregon Trauma Registry all required data for each patient within 90 days of death or discharge of that patient. Each hospital must participate in evaluation and research studies as prescribed by the Division. The Division may review, inspect, evaluate and audit patient trauma discharge summaries, trauma patient care logs, and trauma patient care records; the Division must maintain the confidentiality of these records. If a hospital fails to timely and accurately report to the Division all required data, the hospital’s status as a trauma hospital may be suspended or revoked.
