This will open in a new window
The Oregon Office of Health Policy and Research will obtain hospital outcome measure data files from the CDC’s National Healthcare Safety Network at least quarterly, and will obtain hospital process measure data files from the CMS hospital compare web site at least quarterly. The Office will calculate facility- and state-level statistics to facilitate public disclosure of health care acquired infection (HAI) data, including observed frequencies, expected frequencies, proportions, rates and ratios. The Office must take precautions to prevent the unauthorized disclosure of hospital outcome measure raw data files. Precautionary measures include storing the data on a password protected personal computer located within the Office of Oregon Health Policy and Research, restricting staff and network access to the raw data files, and using strong encryption coding.
