N.Y. Comp. Codes R. & Regs. tit. 18 § 357.6 - Confidentiality Policy and Procedures Manual

This regulation requires that the NY State Department of Social Services, the local social service districts and authorized agencies disseminate a policy and procedures manual to their describing:

  • their legally mandated responsibility to safeguard information,
  • procedures for informing clients of record collection and utilization,
  • policies with respect to safeguarding the confidential information,
  • procedures relating to employee access to information, and
  • the disciplinary action for violation of confidentiality laws.
