“Suspension of services under the division of mental health and developmental services regulations”
All clients of state mental health facilities must be provided with reasonable notice before suspension of services. The notice must be in writing and contain the reason for the suspension, the length of the suspension, and an explanation of the right to complain and appeal. The maximum length of a suspension is 5 program days. However, if a client chooses to exercise the right to complain and appeal, the client must be suspended for no longer than 1 program day pending resolution of the complaint and any subsequent appeal.
