Operators: Responsibilities concerning confidentiality and recordkeeping
Individuals operating alcohol and drug abuse programs must ensure program compliance with Part 2. In the event that there is a conflict between federal regulations and state laws, the more restrictive law applies.
A client must provide separate and explicit consent to the disclosure of identifying information, including the client’s HIV status. Confidential information will only be disclosed in accordance with Part 2.
