No health care corporation certificate can require the use of face-to-face contact between a health care professional and a patient if such services can adequately be provided through telemedicine services. Telemedicine is the use of electronic media linking a health care professional with a patient in a different location. A health care professional may engage in telemedicine services if they are licensed to practice medicine in the state where the patient is located.
