All nursing homes must maintain medical records for each resident. The records must include the following:
- Identifying information;
- Contact information of the patient’s next of kin;
- Health information as required by Mich. Admin. Code R. 325.20175(1); and
- The resident’s service plan.
Such records must be retained for at least 2 years after the resident is discharged.
