Any person or institution that knowingly makes a false statement or intentionally fails to disclose a material fact to the Division of Medical Assistance that affects Medicaid benefits or eligibility or Medicaid payment will be subject to a penalty of a minimum of $200, a maximum of $500, jail time of one year, or both.
