All substance abuse treatment records are confidential. Disclosure of substance abuse treatment information is permitted with the informed consent of the patient. The consent must contain:
- the name of the person or organization to which the disclosure is to be made
- the specific type of information to be disclosed
- and the purpose for the disclosure
Disclosure of substance abuse treatment information is permitted pursuant to court order, though the statute does not specify further detail.
