This law allows individuals who are authorized to consent to health care for another to delegate this authority to another individual, as long as the delegation is in writing, signed by the delegate, and witnessed by an adult. The delegation may further specify conditions on the authority. The law doesn’t allow the delegate to further delegate the authority unless specified in writing, and the delegate has the option of revoking the delegation at any time by notifying orally or in writing.
