Idaho Admin. Code r. 16.03.09.666, Prescription Drugs: Quality Assurance

Tasks the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee (P&T Committee) with advising and educating the Idaho Medicaid Pharmacy Program, recommending preferred and non-preferred drugs for the Idaho Medicaid Preferred Drug List, and reviewing drug utilization outcome studies and reports from the Drug Utilization Review Board. Requires the Director to appoint licensed health care professionals that have prescribing authority and pharmacists to serve on the P&T Committee. Requires the P&T Committee to open meetings to the public and reserve a portion of the time for pubic comment, but permits the Committee to adjoin when discussing participant or provider specific information or information that could allow others to derive pharmaceutical companies’ propriety information.
