Requires the designated Quality Improvement Organization (QIO) to create a provider manual that addresses the QIO’s policies and procedures, the diagnoses and elective procedures for which the Department of Health and Welfare requires prior authorization, approval timeframes, how the QIO will provide notice of their determinations, and appeals procedures.
