Information regarding reports of substantiated adverse events and outcome of inspections and investigations
The California State Department of Health is required to provide information on substantiated adverse events on the Department’s website that is accessible to all California residents and protects patient confidentiality by January 1, 2015. Currently and until January, 2015, the Department must make information regarding adverse events reports and follow-up investigations accessible to all consumers in California, and must make the data from the reports available to authorized entities. However, the Department must not release the names of the associated health care professionals or workers to the public.
