The health maintenance organization’s (HMO) quality management program must include the following:
1. A written statement of purpose and scope that emphasizes improved quality of care;
2. An organizational structure to oversee the program;
3. Confidentiality policies;
4. System of ongoing evaluation activities;
5. A system for credentialing providers and a peer review system.
