Genetic information - limitations on disclosure of information - liability - definitions - legislative declaration
Prohibits health insurers from using genetic information for underwriting purposes. Permits the release of genetic information for diagnosis, treatment, or therapy, but prohibits the release of identifying genetic information for other purposes unless the individual about whom the information pertains consents to the release. Permits the use of genetic information by research facilities so long as they do not disclose identifying information to third parties.
