“Discrimination on the basis of AIDS, AIDS-related complex, and HIV prohibited under the civil rights law”
Any person with or perceived as having HIV/AIDS has all the protections made available to handicapped individuals. Every employer who provides health insurance benefits or life insurance benefits to its employees must maintain the confidentiality of information relating to HIV/AIDS. Any person whose rights were violated may commence a lawsuit for relief.
