“Insurer anti-fraud investigative units; reporting requirements; penalties for noncompliance under Unfair Insurance Trade Practices Act”
Every health insurer must establish and maintain a division within it to investigate possible fraudulent claims by enrollees or health care providers. They must also have an anti-fraud plan that must be filed with the Division of Insurance Fraud of the Department of Financial Services.
