“Itemized patient bill; form and content prescribed by agency under the public health law”
A hospital must notify each patient during admission and at discharge of his right to receive an itemized bill upon request. Within 7 days following the patient’s discharge, the hospital must provide the patient or the patient’s survivor or legal guardian an itemized statement detailing the charges or expenses incurred by the patient in plain language.
