“Disciplinary guidelines under the Department of Health regulations”
The Board of Dentistry may fine or suspend, deny, place on probation, or revoke a dentist’s license for the following:
- Failing to report any person for violating the law;
- Sexually assaulting or engaging in sexual misconduct with a patient;
- Failing to keeping written records of a patient;
- Failing to make available to a patient copies of medical records;
- Failing to comply with patient rights and how to file a patient complaint;
- Performing professional services which have not been authorized by the patient or client;
- Being unable to practice dentistry with reasonable skill; and
- Performing any experimental procedure on a patient without first obtaining informed, written consent.
