“Unprofessional conduct; acceptable standards definition under the Department of Health regulations”
A respiratory therapist is guilty of unprofessional conduct if he failed to comply with acceptable standards related to the delivery of respiratory care services including:
- Violating the confidentiality of information or knowledge concerning a patient;
- Failing to report another health care professional in violation of the law or board rules; and
- Using foul or abusive language in patient care or public areas.
