The director of health will engage in the following activities with regard to tuberculosis:
- Surveillance activities, including the collection and analysis of epidemiological information relative to the frequency of tuberculosis infection, demographic and geographic distribution of tuberculosis cases, and trends pertaining to tuberculosis;
- Maintenance of a registry to record the incidence of tuberculosis in Ohio; and
- Appointing physicians to serve as consultants for geographic regions of Ohio, who will review medical records pertaining to the treatment provided to individuals with tuberculosis.
