DHS Rule Making Authority on Information Collection and Dissemination
Department of Health Services is required to create rules regarding the collection and dissemination of health care information. This law further lists 21 different types of rules that the DHS is required to create procedures for protecting of patient confidentiality, procedures for health care providers to review and comment on information, methods and criteria for assessing health care providers, uniform data set of health care information to be collected from health care providers, etc.
