The Department of Health and Social Services is authorized to investigate any grievance concerning nursing facilities and related institutions. When an investigation is completed, the findings of the investigation may be shared to appropriate state agencies. If a grievance involves a protection and advocacy agency client, the findings may be shared with the protection and advocacy agency.
