Any report of a child’s congenital disability to the Congenital Disabilities Surveillance and Registry Program must be kept confidential. However, patient-identifying information may be exchanged among public health agencies. Any person or organization that provides information to the Congenital Disabilities Surveillance and Registry Program is not liable for divulging confidential information.
