The Department of Health and Social Services is responsible for establishing and maintaining the Congenital Disabilities Surveillance and Registry Program. Health care providers, hospitals and clinical laboratories are required to report to the program information on patients with a congenital disability diagnosis. The program must provide financial assistance for the treatment of children with congenital disabilities.
