Washington D.C. “Health Occupations Boards” (e.g. board of medicine, board of pharmacy, board of nursing, etc.) may discipline licensed health professionals that, among other grounds, violate a patient’s confidentiality or violate laws or regulations related to the practice of their health occupation. Permissible methods of discipline include denying, revoking, or suspending a health professional’s license.
